Roots and Rhythm Bus Tour

Step aboard for an unforgettable journey into the heart of the Mississippi Delta, where music, agriculture, and history intertwine. This curated day trip from Memphis explores the stories that shaped American culture—from the fields of the Delta to the birthplaces of legendary sounds.

Our tour begins at the in Memphis, where you will see where Johnny Cash began his professional music career at Sun Studio.

You will then stop for a tour at the Johnny Cash Boyhood Home, and our sister heritage site, the Southern Tenant Farmers Museum, which highlights the lives of farm families and the Southern Tenant Farmers Union, a historic labor movement that emerged from the Delta in the 1930s.

The tour continues to downtown Wilson, a beautifully revitalized Delta town rich in character, history, and local charm. We’ll conclude the day with a delicious dinner at the Wilson Café, known for its Southern hospitality and comforting Delta flavors.

This tour offers a rich blend of music history, cultural heritage, and authentic Delta experiences—all in one memorable day.
