Rosanne Cash Goes Home

In The New York Times article, “Rosanne Cash Goes Home,” Cash discusses the source material for her new album, The River and the Thread. Cash reveals that much of the source material for the album came from the road trip she and her husband, John Leventhal, took while in Arkansas assisting Arkansas State University with the restoration of Johnny Cash’s boyhood home in Dyess. Cash said that although she says “no” to many Johnny Cash related projects that come her way, the restoration project was “instantly compelling” to her.
